back...

Well, I'm back home! I had a good break, a very hectic break, but it's always good to go home for a while, hectic or not. I really enjoyed being home during the monsoons, even though it picked up only towards the end. It was wonderful to wake up to the sound of gentle rain outside my window, yes, the weather was nice enough to leave the windows open! I loved it. Simply loved not having to use the AC all the time. I slept so well, so deeply, using just a sheet like we used to when we were kids. Out here in Dubai, we have the AC on all through the year, so use a comforter all year round, making me miss the change of seasons.

Hi Shalini. Just looking at these pictures is so refreshing. I loved the way you've captured the raindrops on the feathery light petals of the bougainvillea...

And yes I know how dreary the weather can be in some parts of the world. Singapore is no dessert but it's a 'giant sauna'. I find so many similarities between Dubai and Singapore so I know exactly what you mean...

Oh and good to have you back. I missed your regular blog updates. Was delighted to see your posts today..:)

Preeti, thanks so much. I love taking photos in natural light. The bougainvillea shot was taken in the morning around 7am on a cloudy day, so it came out nice.

Thankfully, the weather is getting nicer here, just a slight difference so far, but the anticipation of cool breezes is incredible.

ps: don't worry, I knew what you meant....I do the same thing!

And by the way Preeti, why aren't you updating your blog? Do write.

I know I've been off the radar for quite a while haven't I...Been meaning to write but other pre-occupations took precedence. Well, the good news is that I've just revived my blog and I'm hoping that I get to update it more regularly.
