photo: in the breeze

Reading Kamini's post on the onset of summer and photos of soft breezy curtains fluttering in the wind, reminded me of the lovely windows in our old house. In Dubai, the seasons are almost reversed. Winter is the time for fluttering curtains for us, the only time of the year we can open our windows and let the fresh air indoors. Our old house had lovely large windows in every room and I made the most of both the windows and the mango trees outside to capture this unusual part of living in Dubai. Here in our new apartment on the 16th floor, there are no trees right outside our window and the curtains rarely flutter since the windows don't open sideways but outwards. Photos of the curtains in our old house.

Sounds very interesting :) You do miss your old home in Dubai don't you?

Kits, yes I do! I've realized that I don't mind living in a high rise, as long as I'm on a low enough floor to see trees outside.
Happy New Year. Its been a long time since I stopped by.Congrats on your new home.
