a spontaneous wedding?

Weddings in the US seem to have such a pre-determined formula, everything has to be practiced and rehearsed and nothing spontaneous it seems. Right from the kind of flowers to the number of steps to take, to having the best man in a tuxedo, there is very little room for variety and spontaneity. I personally like there to a bit of a chaos, as that is what one really remembers after years and years, something that makes it more memorable than other weddings. It's not for me.

Sharanya, that's exactly it...without practice there is chaos, but in our weddings without a bit of chaos it's not a fun wedding!

Lol, you posted a second comment here instead of my other post...I've posted it there for you :-) and am deleting it from here! I'm so glad I'm not the only one doing stuff like this!
Good post shalini.I loved it.I went back to the days of my marriage, where chaos was very much limited, not there at all.Good work by my parents .They divided all the jobs in between the family (we really have a big family).A lot of people being called for the shaadi too.it so happened that people started telling ,the shaadi was too good, well kept and perfect timings, but for one. There has to be onething atleast shalini, otherwise it will not be wedding:).There were 3000 laddus ordered and the people in charge of the lunch, left it at home.Forgot to serve it at the time of meal.In kerala they serve laddu along with kheer.:)

Lakshmi, that's so true....when everyone says a wedding is too perfect, it's just asking for trouble! Lol, we did the same thing at my engagement ceremony...leaving all the dry fruit platters at home :-)

Lol, sharanya....you make me smile :-)
