A cottage by the sea

We're off to Goa for a week's vacation on the 11th of March and we're really looking forward to it. Goa is one of our favorite destinations and we try to spend at least a week there every year. We have rented a 1 bedroom cottage, a couple of minutes walk from Varca beach, which is one of the most beautiful and unspoilt beaches in Goa. We try to explore a new area of Goa each time we visit, and usually the best source of information are people who have visited new and off the beaten resorts. It would be great to have a comprehensive listing of vacation rentals like VLBO has in the US. While staying in a hotel is nice, I often find it much more personal to stay in a more personalized setting, but finding these places can be quite hard since they don't advertise at all. I had used the VLBO to look for places to stay in the Finger Lakes area of New York State last November and found the site to be reliable, resourceful and full of really interesting places to stay.
