on the movie: Gandhi

Watched Richard Attenbourough's movie, Gandhi as we usually do on Gandhi Jayanti, the birth anniversary of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. Its been quite a while since I last saw the movie and though I have seen it numerous times, it makes an impact in a new and different way each time. I notice something different each time I see it, something that I missed before, an intonation, a dialogue, or a connection.

Some of my favorite quotes of his:

Even If I am a minority of one, truth is still the truth.

Speak only if it improves upon the silence.

To believe in something, and not live it, is dishonest.

And quotes by others about him:

Generations to come, it may be, will scarcely believe that such a one, as this, ever in flesh and blood walked upon this earth.
— Albert Einstein

All quotes from wikiqote.

PS: I guess having your husband and in-laws in the movie also makes it more interesting to see over and over again!!
