Delhi to get another newspaper

Now this is a first.

Old rivals Times of India and Hindustan Times have teamed up to bring out a paper jointly in Delhi. The 50:50 joint venture will function as a separate identity and will likely be in a broadsheet format.

"We are pleased to collaborate with Bennett Coleman and Co Ltd on this value creating opportunity and believe that the new paper will give advertisers an opportunity to engage the reader on an unprecedented level,'' the company Vice Chairperson Shobhana Bhartia said.
