Bharti to decide international retail partner in October

The Financial Express reports that Bharti Enterprises will be announcing its retail venture partner in October. Chairman Sunil Mittal added that the company will be focusing on the food and grocery as the base of its retail business. The company has been in talk with global giants such as Wal-Mart, Tesco and Carrefour in the recent past.

Its agri-business Field Fresh has been in talks with Samsung, Mitsubishi and others to set up a cold chain. Besides export of fresh fruits and vegetables, they company is keen on supplying produce to domestic retailers such as Reliance and Pantaloon.
