Relying on technology

Even in our high tech world, things can go wrong and the perfect example of this is the recent incident of undersea cables getting cut by a boat dragging its anchor off the coast of Egypt in the Mediterranean. Ever since fiber optic cables have become the norm in communication, the world has changed and we simply cannot go back to an earlier time where emails and messages didn't go through that very instant. Technology has given us everything, and we really do take it for granted, which is not all bad, since that is the very reason that we have progressed so far and continue to develop new and innovative methods of communication and interaction.
