The changing nature of air travelers

Once one starts to travel on a regular basis, it seems like it becomes almost a second nature of sorts. I have been traveling rather regularly in the past two years, both domestically and internationally and now the initial excitement that used to come from flying here and flying there has reduced to now feeling something of a chore. Flying on the whole has changed completely in the past few years, with the rise of so many newer airlines and newer ways of check-in procedures. The average air traveler has also changed entirely in the last few years, with more and more die hard railway travelers switching over to flights. It's been a very interesting phenomenon to watch, especially when one is sitting at an airport lounge waiting for one's flight, to spot first time travelers from seasoned fliers.
