Fast fashion concept being overused?

The International Herald Tribune writes that the concept of 'fast fashion' might be getting overdone, with customers not being able to keep up with the constantly changing fashions. Stores such as Target started the trend selling inexpensive trench coats by Issac Mizrahi and bedspreads by Cynthia Rowley, H&M took it further and got record numbers wanting to buy its version of Karl Lagerfeld and Stella McCartney clothes, and now it has fueled a trend for cheap fashions by not just the famous names but by minor celebrities too.
But the fast fashion strategy already shows signs of wear, most notably at Wal-Mart, which was disappointed by reaction to its introduction of more fashionable women's clothes this year, including its version of a fast fashion line by the designer Mark Eisen.
