Improving email newletter ad clicks

Just read an interesting article in Marketing Sherpa on how to improve ad clicks in your newsletter. As with most people, if you read your newsletters in the preview pane of Outlook Express, the right side of the page get covered....and that's where the ads are. According the the case study, your ads should appear on the left side which will be more visible.
Seemingly small email design changes can have a big impact on results. Two months ago, MarketingSherpa launched a test to see if we could improve our own newsletter clickthrough rates with a pretty small template change. Turns out we did -- clicks increased by 28.24%.
