Benetton's India connections

The Hindu Business Line reports that Benetton sees India as a "pillar of Benetton's future". The company is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year and constantly seeks inspiration from India and her colours. As part of the celebrations, Benetton will be holding a fashion show in Paris at the location where it opened its first international store in 1969.
A month-long exhibition, Les Yeux Ouverts (Eyes Open to the World and the Future), organised by Fabrica, Benetton's communications research centre, will be housed at Paris' famed Centre Pompidou, a hi-tech, modern art museum. Fabrica promotes art and talent of young artists and researchers across the world through design, music, cinema, photography, publishing and the Internet.
