Online degrees at Capella University

Being well educated is the one thing that really makes or breaks a person's life. Sadly, a lot of people don't think too much when selecting colleges and universities. All through the 1990s, liberal arts programs were all the rage, with universities across the country. While these do prepare a student for the real world, it is in the application of this learning and instead it is specialized career focus that is really required.

One such career focused university that offers specialized career related programs is Capella University, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Capella Education Company based in Minneapolis, MN. Capella University is an accredited online university which offers a wide variety of programs such as business, information technology, education, human services and psychology for its graduate degrees and business and information technology for its bachelor's degree.

In total, there are 76 graduate and undergraduate majors, along with 16 certificate courses. Capella has 16,000 students from 50 states and international students from over 60 countries. The Higher Learning Commission has given accreditation to Capella University and the university is also a member of The North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, located in Chicago.

Capella University's master degree programs have earned the respect of global giants such as Johnson & Johnson, Boeing and the Farmers Insurance Group, who recommend the university's education to its employees. Till date more than 1,300 employees of such companies have been sponsored by them to pursue their master's degrees at Cappella University.
