the only success
"There is only one success - to spend your life in your own way."
- Christopher Morley
Such straightforward advice isn't it? But then why is so hard to follow. Why is it that we second-guess ourselves, overriding what we subconsciously know to be true, to follow someone else's way? Being my own person is something that I have struggled with for a long time. Everyone always says I'm easy going and sweet, but the end result is that I just go along with what someone else wants. It's ok to do that when you're younger, but as you "grow up" and become a mother, you realize the importance, the absolute necessity of being your own person, so that your child learns to be their own person too. And, you know what, it really feels good.

but, i love it when my kids say NO, and when i know they have a reason to. I can't say No, and whatever-count-on-my-one-hand times i have said it, i have agonized over it for days.
I'm surprisingly firm and confident when it comes to E, but just dither on pretty much everything for myself.
And thank you :-)
