You'll notice that the book in the photo does not feature in my list. Well, that's because, I started to read it, but just lost interest. It was one of the few books that I could not finish, and I'd been looking forward to reading it for so long, well, since it won the Booker Prize. I just found it to wander around too much, without really getting anywhere.

I have yet to read a complete book after the summer holidays - just not possible.

Yes, I own most of the books I read...except for the ones I read in April and May, some which are from my collection of books in India as well as some borrowed books. The books in June are from my father's collection.
shilpa, I got Book of Nature last year in Mussoorie...in fact, I got it autographed by Ruskin Bond (along with a few others that I got). Yes, that's the original list from May 2000...you have such a great memory!
Tanya, thanks! I really rely on nice covers and jacket explanations. My local library has very few English books, but other locations have a good collection. Second had bookstores are not common here at all, so I look out for the sales twice a year to stock up.

Katja, I love reading romance too....especially historical ones set in Scotland and England around the time of William the Conqueror :-)
I started my list on a whim in May 2000 and am happy that I have maintained it since then!
