A shot from several months back of the lovely bougainvillea bush outside our door. I'm sad to say that this lovely plant is drying up and dying. The gardener changed a few months back and the new chap really doesn't know how to look after any plants, and I have no idea how he really became a gardener. Well, the more likely explanation is that he really isn't a gardener, but just does this kind of stuff for some extra money. The landlord is away on vacation and until he comes back nothing can be done, except give the plans a bit extra attention between all of us.

Oh.. thats a bit sad.. I think the heat must be getting to them.. You've got to water the plants atleast once a day... try!! might get a new life!

Yes, I think its a combination of the heat and the wrong kind of water. A whole bunch of the other flowers outside have died too....sada bahar, loki ki bel and so on. Bougainvillea are tough and hopefully they should survive.

Actually Bogainvilleas are easy to maintain plants.They are drought resistant plants and really dont require water.On the other hand if u water them often ,they will not flower and out only vegetative growth.I cannot understand whats happening there my dear.But i am sad,the heat is too much.My plants too died.they were being looked after by my bro when i was there at home.but he did come for his engagemnet and also was there at home for 5 days,within that span my coriander,cosmos,fig and even euphorbia(fairly droght resistant )died and crumbled.I am also very sad.

So sorry to hear about your plants Lakshmi...I know how much you love them. Here it's not just the heat...it's the wrong kind of water too...a whole bunch of other plants are also dying, including one of the mango trees. Plus this year, there are barely any dates on our trees....when last year we got heaps of them.
