Is it hot enough for you?

Check out the temperatures we've been having lately.

Posting screen shots of both the Centigrade and Fahrenheit versions. Besides having really high temperatures, it's the Heat Factor that really makes it miserable. The Heat Factor is what it actually feels like and can be equated to the Wind Chill factor in cold weather. Read the first lines in the blue boxes for this reading.

Centigrade:
Actual temperature: 39C
What it feels like: 56C

Fahrenheit:
Actual temperature: 102F
What it feels like: 132F

PS: I'll be avoiding the heat, hiding out at home, enjoying the AC, looking through my recipe books to make some cool treats :-)

Yay, you're back as first!

Oooh, do send a cloud or two my way!

It's been really hazy out here lately, with gray skies, so one can kind of pretend it's winter and sit with cups of hot chocolate.

Mt parents lived in Muscat, Oman for many years. I remember seeing consturuction workers working outside in the heat in summer and felt so sorry for them.

shilpa, I'll send you some sunshine for sure! Anything to lessen the heat!

Lakshmi, yes do send me some clouds! Last week they seeded the clouds and it rained in some parts of the country, but not in Dubai.

Arya, Yes, it's really hard to believe how they can work in the heat. In July and August, no construction worker is permitted to work outside from 1230 to 3pm as it is their mandatory rest time. But the companies have not made any arrangement for them to rest, so one can see workers sleeping under flyovers etc. I wish they would do more for them.
