photo: after a short rainy spell.

Everything becomes washed clean, everything smells fresh, everything looks new and everything seems possible.

I took this shot outside our home in Dubai....living in desert, means lots of sand everywhere, which is why paving stones like these are very popular, to cover part of the garden and instead turn it into a mini-grove of date palm trees.

Aditi, thanks....I love to rush out when it rains, to capture the little things, especially when it rains so rarely.

bindu, thanks....we get lots of dates from these trees....I never cared for dried dates, but love the fresh ones, that are soft, guey and not as sweet.
