On finding interesting artwork

I'm always on the lookout for buying new and interesting artwork and I have found a great site that showcases some amazing talent. It's called Little Paper Planes and it's the one place that I have found several items that I would like to purchase for my home. One is remarkably similar to a painting that I almost bought many years ago from an artist who was showing her collection at our gallery, but she decided not to sell the piece as it was special for her. I'm rather particular about the kind of stuff I want to hang in my home and I'm not hung up about having a known name, in fact I'd much rather have something that I really like rather than a piece that is so-so by a famous artist.
