Dishing on London

One of the best things about coming back home to be with my parents, is that we get to plan future vacations. Last summer, they spent a month traveling in the UK, with a couple of weeks in London and then driving around the country, including some time in Edinburgh for the Annual Festival. As frequent travelers and having traveled extensively across the UK and Europe, they are who I ask a lot of my travel advice, especially when it has to do with London accommodation, since they really are the experts on all things London.

Taking a vacation in the UK, is not the cheapest thing in the world, so knowning where to head to for cheap hotels can be a big help. What is really great about London is that there is a wide variety of accomodation, varying from the wildly expensive and super luxurious to the cozy bed and breakfasts, which is what makes it a really attractive destination for all kinds of travellers. I myself am a bit partial to staying in somewhat offbeat hotels, those that are not the generic type, which makes for a much more interesting vacation.
