Online retailers provide higher consumer satisfaction
The Columbus Dispatch writes about higher consumer satisfaction for online retailers than bricks and mortar retailers. According to the latest American Customer Satisfaction Index conducted by the University of Michigan, American consumers gave a higher score to online retailing than bricks and mortar stores. Online retailing received 80 out of 100, while bricks and mortar stores received 74.4 out of 100. The best rated online retailer was www.barnesandnoble.com, with a score of 88, followed by www.amazon.com with a score of 87. One of the major reasons for this shift towards online retailing has been the significant increase in customer satisfaction in terms of price, product as well as service of online retailers.
