2nd round of poaching in retail

A second round of poaching has begun in the retail sector here. The first round occurred when Reliance Retail was getting started and now the Bharti-Wal-Mart tie up is hiring senior executives from rival firms. Wal-Mart's head of emerging markets, Raj Jain, who is said to be looking after the company's operations in India, has reportedly taken 4 senior executives from his former company Whirlpool India. All positions are at the senior level and several more are sure to go in the next few months. Bharti recently announced that it would like to start operations by August 15, 2007, India's 60th Independence Day.
