I think this is one of the most powerful yet simple quotes ever. I find it hard to imagine how anyone could live without books or reading of any sort. While not everyone is interested in reading books, reading is be a creative expression of sorts for some, a learning ground for others and plain habit for others. Each time I have moved houses, books are one of the first things I unpack, and even if they are lying in a tower on the floor, they still somehow manage to make a house look more like a home.
