Mary Kay gets clearance to begin operations in India

US direct selling cosmetics company Mary Kay was given the go ahead from the Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB) to manufacture and retail its products. The company has been permitted to set up a joint venture with an Indian company holding 49% of the stake in the company.
