Town-side

Last night when we used the subway at Churchgate station to cross the street, it was the first time my husband's entered a train station in Bombay. I really didn't think he would agree to cross there, and would rather walk all the way back to The Pizzeria opening, especially after seeing bits and pieces of the Megacities program on Bombay this past sunday on National Geographic. The program was exactly what you'd expect from the National Geographic channel, and showed nothing but the worst of Bombay.

For us, it was a lovely day spent exploring the area around the Gateway of India. I find it ironic that among so much history, beauty and grandeur, most foreigners would rather reinforce the stereotype they have of India.
