The Lady Birds, Enid Blytons, Danielle Steeles, and so on. I'm definitely going to pick some titles from the list you have recommended. Btw, if you liked Taj Mahal then you may want to consider reading Indu Sundaresan's 'The Twentieth Wife'. It's historical fiction narrated beautifully and revolves around Mehrunissa, Emperor Jahangir's wife. It was recommended by a friend to me and I absolutely loved it.
